Deutz Xchange engines are totally remanufactured, making them a much sturdier alternative
than the rebuilt engines found in the marketplace today.
Each DEUTZ Xchange engine goes through a 300-point reconditioning process according to its original
blueprint specifications.
Our reconditioning process is intensive and includes disassembly, cleaning, parts testing,
reassembly and a complete inspection – each of which is performed according to uncompromising
DEUTZ specifications. In addition, all DEUTZ Xchange engines are brought up to the
latest technical stage of development.
When you purchase a DEUTZ Xchange engine, all the following comes standard:

Engine Core Acceptance Criteria:
■ No visible holes or cracks may be present in the block or any other major component.
■ Cores must not have sustained any damage due to non-operational causes such as fire, rust or mishandling.
■ 360° crankshaft rotation must be possible.
XE – The XE Engine is a Basic Version of the original specification. It contains all correct internal
components as well as the specific configuration for emissions tier level, fan drives, hydraulic pump drive capability,
PTO capability, etc. Air Cooled Engines include cooling blower and all sheet metal. Integrated oil-cooled and
water-cooled engines are complete with all blowers and engine coolers. Electronic engines include all
necessary components including ECU.
XED – The XED version add the items that are missing from the XE that will complete the engine equivalent to the
original OEM specification. These may include flywheel, flywheel housing, mounts, air filters, guards, fuel pre-filters,
hydraulic pumps and drives, counter plugs for wiring harnesses, etc. Instrument panels will not be included.
SB – The SB (Short Block) version (if available) includes the block crank, rods, pistons, camshaft, valve tappets,
rear cover with seal and gasket set. A reference serial number is required at the time of order so that the
correct block and camshaft can be supplied.
